Who are the other people providing support to children with SEND?
At times it may be necessary to consult with outside agencies to receive their more specialised expertise.       
The agencies used by the school include:

What training do our staff have?
All teachers are considered teachers of children with SEN and training is an on-going and integral part of our Continued Professional Development programme.  We regularly share good practice within the school and receive training from other professionals on relevant topics and issues.  Individual staff also attend training courses relevant to the specific needs of children in their class.  In addition, designated members of staff are trained in autism, specific learning difficulties e.g. dyslexia and maths interventions, speech and language interventions.
Advice from other Professionals, current research and the needs of the children will guide the Senior Leadership Team in making decisions about training. Recent training has included Behaviour Management, Attachment Theory, Makaton, Sensory Stories and Autism awareness. The impact of the courses are monitored and evaluated to endeavour that children always have the best outcomes.
